World Speed Sailing Records Open To Mono-Hulls
Sailing Speed Records open either to or from Monaco. The Yacht Club de Monaco, in partnership with Wally Yachts R&D Department, throws open a challenge to all those able to manage high-winds mono-hull sailing. One of two Routes may be selected: Monaco to Porto Cervo or Monaco to Saint-Tropez.
Two benchmark records have been set by Nariida, the 32-metre ketch belonging to Morten Bergesen, a member of the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club, and skippered by Knut Frostad. For six years now, no new record has been broken. Any takers?
