The Yacht Club de Monaco Sport Section

Prince Rainier III founded the YCM Sport Section in 1970. Throughout each year, the Sailing School teaches and coaches young sailors aged from 6 years old, within the frameworks of National Education and Sailing Club Programmes, at beginners or advanced level.

Six YCM instructors and coaches take young sailors through syllabuses of initiation right up to those concerning competition sailing at the highest level, in Optimist and Laser classes. The six instructors have the missions of ensuring sound sail seamanship, the discovery of the sea, and the safekeeping of our maritime environment.
