Who are the Adult Sailing Classes for?
For any individual aged 16 and above, member of the YCM, who is wishing to discover sailing or advance his/her knowledge.
How much does it cost?
Sailing classes are free of charge and for YCM members only.
Can I come to the class if I am not a member of the YCM?
The first two classes are « free to access » so that non members can discover sailing and the atmosphere at the YCM before they ask for membership.
They must first ensure they are holders of a licence from the Fédération Française de Voile to be insured.
How often are there classes?
The beginners’ classes take place every Saturday morning from 9.30am to 12.00 (noon) and advanced classes from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Mainly J24s, a small cabin boat for competitions but also adapted to new learners. From May to September, outings on dinghies such as Laser Picos are organised every Thursdays and Fridays in the evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
Yes, many races are taking place all year long aboard various yacht classes, be they in fleet, match race or offshore races.
Concerning the J24s, the Monaco Championship is divided in 10 races between September and June.
The challenge at stake is major as the first two crews are automatically qualified to represent the YCM and compete in the Dennis Conner International Yacht Club Challenge in Manhattan.
Temperature at sea is always lower than onshore. It is therefore necessary to wear technical clothing. We advise you to always bring spare clothes to be able to change as well as a waterproof jacket and trousers. Lifejacket is compulsory.
