To introduce a new member to the YCM
All society members of the YCM, with the exception of board members, are authorised to propose a new applicant to the admission’s committee. The sponsor’s role when introducing a new member is key. It is their responsibility to help newcomers to integrate into the life of the Yacht Club, not only to accompany and introduce them to other members, but also to involve them in events organised by the Club, be they social or sporting activities. The sponsor should also be committed to ensuring that the person they propose is encouraged to adopt the philosophy and values of the YCM, by actively participating in the life of the Club in order to keep raising the standards at the YCM even higher.
1) File preparation
One of the sponsors can pick up an admission form from the Service Membres desk, which must be filled in and then signed by the applicant and the two sponsors. The admission form (attached at the end), duly completed and signed by the candidate and two Society Members of the Club*, must be sent back with a letter of introduction, written by the first sponsor, explaining the reasons why the candidate wishes to make an application.

2) Admission conditions
The application will be discussed by the Admission Committee, meeting twice a year, upon receipt of the completed admission form and a deposit cheque (without date). The cheque amount (as set by the Board Committee and confirmed by the Service Membres) will be of the entrance fee and cashed in on admission. Once admitted, a letter will be sent to announce the status of member of the Yacht Club de Monaco. A cocktail party will be organized in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Yacht Club de Monaco. During this evening, the membership and parking cards together with a diploma will be handed out to the new Society Member as a sign of belonging to the Yacht Club de Monaco.
